I wrote the title of this post, and then got distracted with what I'm doing which is what I kind of wanted to write about. The first part of this title is not exciting at all. I'm scanning papers for my uncle, which I don't mind doing for him because he's my favorite uncle. I have to scan a whole stack of (I'll just make a ball park guesstimate here) 200 pages. Open scanner, insert paper, close scanner, press green button. Scanner scans with a high pitched robotic noise. Open scanner, place scanned paper into pile of scanned papers. Repeat.
That must have been very boring for you to read. Imagine how I feel.
No, I really don't mind too bad. I get to sit and play with my computer in between putting in and taking out the papers. I really just get to sit in front of the computer and make it look like I'm being productive!
For the second, not as boring, part of my title. Tanning! Thanks to this beautiful sunshine state, I've been kissed with a healthy looking, golden tan. I just really took notice this morning as I was walking out of my room. I look like I had a summer filled with sun, water, and laughs. I sometimes miss my porcelain skin (mostly because it was just super easy to choose the lightest shade of cover-up and call it good. I never had to search for the right one, I was always super white!) but this golden tan is something I much prefer. I feel healthier, I think I look healthier, and I don't burn as easily. Something about Oregon was that it just was too dark all the time. It's amazing that I wasn't more unhappy. It's even more amazing how the weather really effects people. I go back in time in my mind and wonder what certain situations would have been like had there been more sun in our lives. I guess I will never know! I hope that more people can come down and enjoy this sun though! :)
