We have yellow ribbons lining the streets

Stay still, breathe deep.
So many secrets left to keep.
Broken hearts and tragedies,
Countless broken families.

Lives to save, stay brave.
Keep them from
A tear-stained grave.
Stay still, breathe deep.
So many secrets left to keep.

With miles to go, burdens to bear.
And strength we will proceed,
Through passion, courage, we will fight,
Only to succeed.

You come home, where you belong
We've missed you, sir, it's been too long.
So stay still, breathe deep.
So many secrets left to keep.

It has been ten years. Ten years.

I can't find the words to express my gratitude towards the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for us. I can't quite find the words to express what I feel towards those who don't make an effort to express gratitude, but instead insult those men and women who are fighting for their rights to do just that. Some of us don't understand what a blessing it is to have the freedoms we have; most of us are choosing to stay blind to the freedoms we are about to lose. The lives that were taken ten years ago, the lives that continued to be taken every day after that, and the families that were torn apart because of this brutal attack on our country will be on my mind tomorrow. More importantly, the men and women who are over there, in the line of fire right now, fighting for us, will be on my mind tomorrow. They are our heros, and they deserve nothing but the best. God bless you guys.
